Sports Injuries
A sports injury treatment includes a full examination and assessment of the injured area and associated supporting structures, including muscle or joint testing.
A treatment plan will then be devised according to the needs of the client, which may include strapping, taping, application of ice and heat packs, rehabilitation massage and the use of audio sonic or equipment to reduce muscular pain and spasms and to aid the healing of injured tissue.
Rehabilitation
A properly prepared rehabilitation programme is essential in speeding up the healing process and helping to regain ROM (Range of Movement) in the joint and build up muscle strength. A specially tailored exercise and strengthening programme, when followed implicitly, can also assist in the prevention of injury.
All exercises and rehabilitation programmes are demonstrated and all preventative and aftercare information is discussed thoroughly at the end of the treatment.
